The opening night of the Future Finders exhibition will introduce the exciting, innovative creations Monash Engineering students have developed.

These forward thinking solutions will highlight the significant links between design, innovation, art and sustainability. All of these topics will also be addressed in our panel discussion on the night. The panel will feature industry experts in a fascinating exploration of the concept so perfectly phrased by Theo Jansen, “The walls between art and engineering exist only in our minds.”

Women In Engineering Panel

We are committed to increasing the number of women at all levels of engineering, which is why we’re hosting a panel discussion on the topic.

This will be an opportunity to talk through key challenges, why we need women in STEM and to hear about our panelists’ personal experiences of working in and studying engineering. To open the evening, Director of Resources Engineering at Monash University, Associate Professor Bre-Anne Sainsbury, will take the audience through her professional journey.

Our Monash Engineering students will host interactive tours, demonstrating the eight solutions and the process of development, design and manufacture of each solution.

In addition, students will be able to explore the innovative projects on display, chat to current engineering students about university life and studying STEM, and be inspired by the connections between design and engineering.
